This week has been crazy; after being catapaulted back into work head first after 10 days off was quite a shock to the system - I still can't deal with my alarm shrilling at 5am and I think I've finally come to accept that I will never be an early bird. The only time one should see 5am is when one has yet to retire to bed..

So yes, the weekend was embraced with open arms. I went out on a whim Friday night and for a meal on Saturday. It's this lovely pub on Lee-on-Solent seafront, and it's one of my favourite places to have a cold beverage in the summer, sat on the benches outside and looking out at the sea. Unfortunately we're in January, and it was 6pm so all I could see were the lights twinkling from the Isle of Wight across the solent but it was still idyllic... and oh so very cold.

Today I met up with the wonderful Betty before she departed back to London for Uni. We had a lovely roast in Little Johnny Russell's - one of my most favourite haunts in the entire world. The open fire was a lovely treat too. We then went to the seafront arcades and I spent far too much money shooting Dinosaurs from 1997 and driving cars from 1993. I also had major rage at the claw grabbing machines, and even if I had won a stupid teddy it wouldn't have been worth half the money I pumped through that stupid cheating machine!! I didn't think it would be possible to feel so much frustration towards an inanimate object....

@Betty Don't you even! The fact that they were all neatly aligned before I got to work on them... haha!

Oh gosh, I struggled with the 3 day week last week so who knows how I will cope as of tomorrow with a full week! It sounds like you had a lovely weekend!
